New feature: audio attachments to questions via soundcloud integration.
New feature…finally! While we’ve been doing a bit of tweaking under the hood since launch–we haven’t really announced much in the way of new features. We have quite a few larger ones in the works that are not quite ready yet–but today we’re excited to launch a simple, but important one: the ability to add audio to your questions to experts. We spent some time thinking about the the best way to let user attach audio files and it made the most sense to use a pre-existing service like soundcloud. Their current troubles aside–we love their intense focus on doing one thing well and how well they’re embeddable player fits into our visual experience.
It’s incredbly easy to use too. When drafting your question you’ll now have a new option under “attach media” allowing you to simply paste in the URL of your soundcloud track…that’s it, super simple.
It was a needed function for our aspiring musicians, podcasters, spoken word poets, and whatever else you might creatively use audio for.
