My face was cold with warm tears when Ryan Reynolds leaped his way into another reality as he escaped the crippling world behind him. The movie Free Guy may superficially feel like an action packed movie with humor sprinkled throughout but it illustrates how powerful it is to achieve the freedom you’ve been longing for from a fallen world or a traumatic experience. Stranger Things also displayed a magnificent scene where Sadie Sink who plays the character Max escaped the demogorgon and ran through the gates of the underworld to find her way back into the safety of her loving friends in a different dimension. Seeing your favorite actor in an emotionally powerful scene is one thing, living out this enlightening freedom firsthand is another. As if it’s already embedded in our minds, we crave this feeling of perception to accomplish or overcome the unthinkable. A naturally occuring euphoric high that this world can’t take from us.

I believe human nature can be unpredictable, just like mother nature herself, but human nature has a foundation that’s hard to disregard. From experience, I’ve perceived that this nature of ours naturally wants to feel for, or with another. Just like the birth of a newborn clinging to their creator. We instinctively want to see and feel the good in another. As if it brings us peace when our mother smiled back. This concept translates to how we perceive our loved ones succeeding in life or how we acknowledge the accomplishment our dear friends are achieving. There’s this invisible energy you can feel that connects you with the other individual instantly. The bond of a mother and her newborn child.

a powerful case of adornment

An uncle battling a drug addiction is now free from the feeling of desperation and the family regularly remind him enthusiastically that they are thankful for his victory. A child with autism graduates elementary school and the older sister is soaked in tears, smiling from ear to ear. A genuine foundation peaks out the soil and into the sunlight as this relationship of gratitude and is taken to a higher dimension. There’s a powerful case of adornment that we exude when someone we care for or favors ascends from the pitfalls of misfortune and floats into the clouds of clarity and healing. As they rise, you rise, and the both of you reach a level of bliss unheard of, in the name of love.

What a release it is when we prevail in life. When we’re able to conquer life’s unforeseeable challenges and tribulations. We’re never truly, fully equipped “to the t” with all the resources as we go into battle with the evil forces of the world but we’re instinctively warrior-built entities able and capable of triumphing over the darkest of emotions and troubling wars within ourself and within this universe we are now apart of. Armed to the teeth with a fighting spirit, we were born to adapt to any storm this fallen world challeneges us with. Like a baby learning how to walk, it takes time to stand up to life. As an infant, you were meant to walk. As the wonderful being that you are, you were built for this life, to rise for the freedom from doom.
