Why I Changed My Approach of Praising My Child.

My son has a new routine. Every day, he is given a set of simple math problems I create with the help of ChatGPT. The goal? To make learning a daily habit.

It’s not about racing to become a genius overnight. No,not at all. It’s about the small, consistent steps he takes each day. By solving these problems, I am expecting that he’s not just learning math. He’s also learning the value of persistence and the thrill of overcoming challenges.

Day by day, little by little, he’s growing smarter since he is able to finish the tasks faster. That’s the magic of consistency.

Every time he completes a task, I praise him. That’s because I know recognition for effort is essential. Honestly, we all could do with a little more praise for the hard work we put in. And this isn’t just something I believe in — science backs this up

Studies show that when we acknowledge someone’s effort, we boost their confidence, encourage them to keep going, and make them feel seen and appreciated. This simple act of giving a compliment can go a long way. So I keep showering my son with compliments, hoping to foster not just his intelligence, but also his spirit.

I write something about basic psychology and any interesting concept from all the books that I read.
