Background

Olivier is the fashion director of Balmain since 2011. He has revived this brand and has been able to make it a luxury brand of choice for the millennials. He began his career in 2003 as a designer in Roberto Cavalli . He is one of the youngest fashion director in the industry transforming a label by his fresh perspective. He has used his personal brand to promote a luxury brand.

Looking back at 2016

In 2015, we saw one of the most successful brand collaborations with H&M partnering with Balmain.The French designer has been able to balance femininity and strength in his designs. He has embarked on a journey to take this brand to next level by providing it global exposure. He was able to do so by launching one of the first NYC showroom in Soho this year. This year was important for Balmain as Mayhoola, a Qatari investment firm acquired 70% of the fashion house for a hefty valuation.
