Second Screening: 2001 A Space Odyssey (1968) (USA)

January 11, 2017 | A dawn of a new age in cinema. Many love, some hate, but few can argue that this space thriller is a masterclass in pushing the cinematic art form into the beyond. Stanley Kubrick’s 2001 A Space Odyssey is a cultural gem.

With spectacular, painstakingly authentic special effects that have stood the test of time, Kubrick’s film is nothing less than a cinematic milestone — puzzling, provocative, and perfect.
