Phil Rudd is best known as the drummer for the greatest band ever. AC/DC. AC/DC are Australia’s best music export and are arguably the biggest band ever. Rudd, (unlike other band members) hasn’t exactly kept the lowest profile. Rudd is a car collector, helicopter pilot, drummer, restaurant owner and now solo artist.

Head Job is a gutsy rock n roll album, with a range of different rock styles in all the songs. The album only has three musicians performing, but you wouldn’t know that, because of the sound on the album is so great.

Rudd is known to many as the backbone of AC/DC. Rudd lays down a solid groove, no matter what he plays.

Rudd has stated in past interviews that his main influence was Ringo Starr from the Beatles.

The album’s only single ‘Repo Man’, was incredibly well received by fans. It led to anticipation for the album to come out. While the album is not an AC/DC sounding album, it has its AC/DC moments.

AC/DC. The band Rudd joined in 1975. The band that gave him stardom.
Aussie blues rock band Buster Brown. Featured a young Rudd and Angry Anderson and Geordie Leach. The latter two would later go on to form Rose Tattoo. Rudd left Lobby Lloyd’s Coloured Balls to join Buster Brown.

Rudd’s solo album is an amazing record and it could possibly be album of the year. The whole album is pure rock n roll with no fillers at all. I hope that Rudd does another album and a tour soon.

Geoffery Martin, Phil Rudd and Alan Badger are the only people on the album, as Rudd also produced it.

Rudd has confirmed that AC/DC’s latest studio album was done in 10 days and they will tour.

Head Job gets a 10/10 from me ☺
