Welcoming Miles Grimshaw to Thrive

Today we are delighted to welcome Miles Grimshaw back to Thrive as a General Partner.

Miles began his career at Thrive more than a decade ago. He spent eight years at the firm, leading investments across stages in companies like Airtable, Monzo, Benchling and Lattice, and was a close partner to companies such as GitHub and Segment, among others.

As he returns a decade later, Thrive’s capabilities have evolved considerably, but we feel we are only a small percentage of our potential.

Our ambition as a firm is to be concentrated in both people and ideas and to be their most meaningful partner. Since our inception, Thrive has had an opportunistic mandate: to co-found businesses with exceptional entrepreneurs, to invest in early-stage businesses with a strong product focus, and to invest in category-defining businesses at the late stages.

As we look ahead to the next chapter of the firm, and the extraordinary wave of innovation we believe lies ahead, Miles has a rare set of characteristics that make him a formidable partner to our founders. He has deep curiosity, discerning product acumen, and the creativity and horsepower to pursue the most unique opportunities.
