Summer break is over and it’s time to head back to the classroom. Like most teachers, I’ve already logged 40+ hours creating amazing bulletin boards, cleaning cupboards and organizing files. Getting ready for new students is one of my favorite activities. I simply love new crayons, sharp pencils, clean desks and organized files.

It’s also a time to put home planning, organizing and meal prep into high gear. Over my 15 year teaching career, I’ve learned how valuable these tools can be in keeping stress, overwhelm and anxiety at bay. Long hours and lack of balance and self-care can be a major factor in teacher burnout. With this blog I will offer ideas and tools to bring joy, order and balance to the lives of teachers everywhere.
