It is a reality of human sexuality that trans, gay and bi people have always been around. (And by the way, I’m not one of them.)
But, Lori, I myself am one of them. I’m a man who has only ever been interested in men and I don’t like to think that a man like me might be driven to turn himself into a pseudo-woman with expensive surgery and hormones that harm the body, in order to conform with other people’s expectations of what a person should be.
Of course, I realize that not all men who want to transition to being a woman are essentially gay; some of them may be straight men who do it for reasons that I can’t understand. But as a homosexual person I don’t feel obliged to support everyone who may latch onto a trans-identity for the wrong reasons.
