I agree that there is no genetic or biological basis for race
I don’t quite agree. I would suggest, rather, that there is no genetic or biological basis for dividing the human species into, say, four races (black, red, white, yellow), rather than nine races or 13 races or 20 races. To put it another way, one could legitimately divide Sub-Saharan Africans all by themselves into a half-dozen races, based on the frequencies of different genes in different populations. It’s just not customary to do so in English, and instead we say “they’re all Black.”
