Let’s chat about treason— player executions (video game)
Players can accuse others of treason. If you can convince others this player has committed treason, then a vote will be called upon, where being guilty is punishable by death: That is, death by execution from the 1st accusing player:
Let’s talk about this for a second..
Q: What is so special that the accuser will execute the guilty party?
A: We will have MANY weapons, and each weapon will have a different execution ability, depending on what weapon was equipped before entering a match.
Holding a red staff with a fiery crystal tip (concept displayed above)? Perhaps this one will evoke a meteor from the heavens and smash into this this player, executing him in magical style.
Wielding a sword? Perhaps a good ol’ slash-and-die execution.
But what is your point?!
My point is this: We want you to customize your executions based on what weapon you are holding, allowing for customization options beyond just “skins” while not truly effecting the game mechanics. No execution will effect the game more than another, or effect the game at all — but it sure does make you warm and fuzzy when holding a staff imbued with dark magic and executing them via a swirling vortex of dark energy.

While we are talking about weapons, it’s important to note that
Yes: We do have skin SETS
No: The average person won’t get skins — they will get what we call components: Individual pieces of equipment that you can equip in an inventory before joining a game. This way, you can customize your character to look exactly like you want them to look! Favorite role is a court wizard? Represent with a curly wizard hat! Armor more your style? How about some steel plate armor and a horned helmet.
The one issue we run into about this, and perhaps the community can help us out:
What do we do about unfashionable people?
We believe nobles need to be stylish. Ever see someone that looks ridiculous try to make a serious point, where it makes you feel like slapping him?
Wear an epic plate of armor, but with… bunny ears?
…(not that there will be any such item)…?
After all, this was a table of Noble parties *brushes hair back as it flows in the wind*. But it’s ok — we’re not going to discriminate as far as not letting them use the royal potty room (bad political joke), even if they are unstylish ;) so no worries!
