Odds and ends I missed before
Today was a busy day. I spent the morning researching what TV to buy, and in the afternoon I bought it, installed it and started learning how to use it. That doesn’t leave much time for searching for stuff to throw out, but never fear, I had some stuff I missed before.

Not much, but it’s got to go.
Yet another crappy pair of headphones. Where do they all come from? The funny thing is, I still don’t have the pair I really want. Even my best pair which I use at my computer, are getting pretty worn out, although they still sound quite good.
The real prize today, however, it my old wallet. Like many guys, I keep using wallets until they start becoming unsafe for use, as they are starting to leak contents. That’s fine if it’s just money, but of course its the credit cards and ID that are most likely to fall out.
The trouble with getting a new wallet is that it just doesn’t feel right. First of all, they need time to break in. A new wallet isn’t curved to fit your use. With time it will adhere to the contours of what ever place you normally carry it. Even if for some reason, it was broken in (no guy ever bought a used wallet…yuck!) it still wouldn’t feel right. We are guys, and we hate change.
Because it’s such a trauma to replace an old wallet, I tend to keep them for a while, I guess until the new one feels right to me. I’ve never gone back to a wallet once its been replaced though, so this is really an emotional attachment, not a practical behaviour.
However, once I’ve been parted from the wallet for a while, and see it again, it just kind of looks gross. And so, it is now easy to toss.
