Tomorrow begins the worst time of the year for public education. Tomorrow is start of high stakes, end of course testing for most grade levels.
Teachers have been prepping for this time for several weeks now, knowing that their livelihood could depend on the outcomes. All the while knowing that there are so many variables that could dictate student performance that are outside of their control.
To those teachers, I want you to know that the difference you are making in the lives of your students is invaluable and cannot be reflected in a standardized exam. To the students that have to endure these rigorous exams, I want you to know that these bubble exams can’t measure your unique qualities and that your value to our world goes far beyond any RLA or math data! Do your best but do not stress for one minute over these exams. Good luck to all.
