First, we need to know the volume we want to hide. Now, since I don’t have a volume yet, to create a volume, I will create a volume from the existing C partition and create a volume called D. To build another volume from the current C, we need to shrink volume, then we will create a custom volume step by step.
The important place for the hidden volume is where the drive letter is given. At the moment, we will create a file that we will store in E. After creating, we will go to disk management with the diskmgmt.msc command.
Now, the part that we will make hidden is the part that we want to make hidden, so we have to select the drive letter (E volume) that we want to make hidden. After that, if we press change drive letter and then press remove again, our E volume becomes a hidden volume. If we want to check if there is a hidden volume, we have to go to the command prompt -
Write the command ‘diskpart’ as shown in the picture If you write the ‘list volume’, we will get a list of the volumes we have, but we will now see the E volume, which was our hidden volume, as a none disk letter. In this way, we can hide our disk volumes and store important files there, so we can learn how to use the disk volume hiding technique.
