#3 reminds me of a piece of advice that Paul Graham gave me when I was at Y Combinator. At the time, I had been delaying my product launch because I needed to fix bugs we found during our private beta. Paul Graham told me: Just launch it! Before you launch, you’ll feel embarrased, most entreprenuers do. But just launch it because the learnings you’ll get from the launch is so much more valuable than the risk of you feeling embarrased. After you launch it, you will realize that whatever worries you have about your product are probably not true.
And he was right. Before we launched, we were worried about bugs, user complaints, etc. After the launch, we found a whole other set of issues that were totally different from what we were worried about.
