Our generation needs responsibility

Once one of my friends, who just failed a test, came to talk to me about it. He started by complaining about how hard was the subject, how unfair was the test and how stupid and bad the professor was.
I asked him if he had a good time before the test. He agreed. He went to two parties that same week. So I reminded him about all the time he wasted playing video-games with our friends and all those after-lunch naps he have been taking for the last few-months.
“What is your point?” he asked me. “My point is, you cannot complain about all of these things. You just didn’t had the discipline and responsibility to study and ace your test.”
Ok, this conversation never happened. I do not like being punched in the face, and I do not want to lose a friend. This scenario, however, happened with me some many times that I needed to write about it.
If there is just one phrase that can summarize this entire text, it is:
“Stop complaining and whining about how hard things are, start taking responsibility for you goddamn life and take action to conquer what you desire”
Now, let’s see what do I really want to say with this phrase.
Our Generation

I have never seem a generation like this before. We complain about everything. Few of us are willing to do what needs to be done in order to achieve the life we deserve. It is always someone else’s fault.
It is always the traffic, the President, God, our parents, our professor, our friend, our shitty boss, the weather, the economy. We always find an excuse for our problems. What I do not see, is people slapping the life in the face and showing who is in control.
You want more money? Work more, create a side business, learn more.
You want better grades? Sit your goddamn ass on the chair and study. Learn how to study better.
You want that beautiful girl? Go to the gym and improve your body. Learn how to talk to a girl. Go do some interesting shit with your life. Be interesting. Get up and go talk to her.
You do not want to suffer from your health? Go exercise. Stop throwing four fast-food lunches every week. Go see a doctor.
Every single one of our problems has a solution. But we are too busy complaining about how unfair the world is.
Your life is yours. If you do not work to improve it, no one else will do it for you. You have the responsibility to acquire what you want, what you think you deserve. Everything that happens in your life is your fault, in one way, or another.
There are plenty of media on the internet about success, entrepreneurship, dating, productivity, study, resilience.
You just need to take responsibility, get your shit together and create the life you want. If you can stop crying like a victim, and start hustling like the awesome person you are, then you will have the life of your dreams.
