Outsmarting cats. (Is that even possible?)
George, the new cat, is adorable. And exhausting. 11 years of no rules makes a cat very set in his ways. He jumps on counters. He claws at pant legs. He meows constantly. He bites you if he’s really upset.
Like all animal training, I believe in rewarding good behavior over punishing bad behavior. A freeze-dried shrimp and a cuddle feels a lot better than stomping over to the counter and escorting George out of the room. He seems “better” than when he first came. But maybe that’s me getting used to him. In comparison, Luther looks like an angel.
