TICC Launches Outposts Digests

What is Outposts?
Outposts is a tool designed to streamline web3 notifications, automatically aggregating important updates from all your favourite communities’ social platforms (Discord, Twitter, Guild.xyz, and much more), delivering concise, customized digests directly to your inbox twice a week.
You have control over your digest and can follow or unfollow communities as desired. Personalize your content and automatically stay up-to-date on the latest trends and opportunities in your Web3 sphere.
Sounds great! How can I get started?
As of right now, you can start using Outposts if you have an access pass, which is an NFT that eligible wallets can mint for free on Polygon. Each NFT is a wholly unique (and beautiful) generation!
To find out if you are eligible for an Outposts access pass, head on over to our onboarding flow found on our landing page. Eligible accounts will be prompted to start the claim process before the creation of your first digest.
The initial eligible list of wallets was created through a collection of our amazing partners. You can find the relevant conditions in the partner section below.
Not on the list? No problem, you can leave your email to get yourself into future access pass releases (the sooner the better!). Better yet, if you are reading this around our launch period, Jan 30th, 2024, you can join our Guild on Guild.xyz; users who mint our Guild.xyz pins in the next three days will receive an access pass! More on this down in the partners section!
Once you’ve minted your NFT, Outpost’s magic kicks in. We:
- Check if you have transactions on any contracts with an Outpost.
- Check if you have a connected Guild.xyz account, and which guilds you are a part of.
- Automatically follows Outposts associated with the above.
- Additionally, we create a few invite NFT’s for you. More on that in a bit…
And thats it. You’ll be presented with your very first digest and continue to receive emails twice a week going forward. Want to add or remove communities from your results? Head on over to “Explore Communities” to see your currently followed and suggested Outposts. Maybe you’ll find someone new to fall in love with!
Okay, but invites? How do they work?
If you love your access pass NFT, why not share? All pass holders are able to refer their friends, allowing them to mint their very own pass. Additionally, you can level up your account to mint more advanced and unique NFTs based on your referrals. Simply visit “Invites & NFTs” in the Outposts navigator.
We are currently testing this system, and are expecting to expand upon it at a later date with a variety of deeper incentives. For the time being, you can increase your account level to mint accolade NFTs next week and unlock hidden channels in the Outposts Discord!
Awesome, but how did we get here?
The journey to creating Outposts began with our founders Ross and Madusha, both former contributors to DXdao. If you aren’t familiar, DXdao was a pioneer in maximal decentralization and elevating technologies pushing towards a more dispersed and equitable online world. You can learn more at TICC’s “DXdao Archive”.
Ross and Madusha’s experiences in crypto highlighted the challenge of keeping up with the rapidly evolving Web3 landscape; how is it possible to stay up to date with everything, especially while focused on a specific niche? They saw the need for a solution to help users manage the overwhelming influx of notifications and information.
Outposts emerged as a response to this need, aiming to simplify the Web3 experience by aggregating community notifications and broad news alike into a digestible format (no pun intended). Ross and Madusha’s goal was to make it less draining for crypto enthusiasts, both team members and community members, to stay informed without needing to be engaged full-time.
