Contacting Entertainment Reporters in Las Vegas

This was my first major PR assignment for my internship. I was given a long list of all of the entertainment reporters, broadcasters and DJs in Las Vegas. Originally consisting of more than 1,500 names, I needed to see what reporters are still active in the Las Vegas journalism industry. I ultimately deleted roughly half of the names on the list. Afterwards, I had to ensure their phone numbers, emails and Facebook and Twitter accounts were still active. Once I completed all that, I sent each reporter on the list a Facebook message, an email, and a tweet. A handful of entertainment reporters also received a phone call. I asked them to attend Tommy Savitt’s comedy show in the Stratosphere for free, and attached a press release. We received five responses, two of which were documented in other Medium posts. -PeterTheIntern
