LOGO CONSTRUCTION MADE SIMPLE — GEOMETRIC LOGOS
Let’s speak about logos.
When we see a logotype most will see a picture of an icon. Small picture. But this understanding tends to change as soon as one has his own business.
Then we realise that design has to be effective — it should capture the eye of the right customer; be communicative of the business, easy to use and (of course) be beautiful to look at. So crafting a brand is a process of multiple steps to be made to create the eye-catching design.
The process involves multiple steps — starting from selecting suiting colour palette, defining the shape of the mark, exploring icon construction, proportions and dimensions; creating or adjusting the font. Being a brand designer for over 7 years, I strongly believe logo construction is the most important part of all the branding process.
In this post, you will find 10 geometric logo structures & composition examples done by TIE A TIE branding agency.
Have a look!
1. Charming Zebra icon
We were working on developing a bold icon capturing “cheeky” Zebra character. To achieve desired minimalistic and modern look we constructed geometric logo entirely of geometry shapes.

2. Messaging + mailing icon
Here is a double meaning icon containing two symbols — messaging + mailing. We had a task to create a brand for the startup company which is solving the communications issues of mobile messaging. The icon is constructed of speech bubble and envelope and features out of balance symmetry proportion.

3. Fox “O” icon
This icon simulates “O” letter and creates a round & elegant shape of a fox. Logo mark features minimal design approach and is constructed entirely of geometric shapes.

4. Feather icon
This is a complex grid of a feather icon. To create the light looking feather icon, we used round shapes and golden ratio proportions.

5. Note + Messaging icon
