I see this happening in my own historically black neighborhood of Bronzeville, here in Chicago, one of the most racially segregated cities in America. The pricing out of Black people in Bronzeville, the new developments, repaired roads, new businesses, the “new” lakefront beach/views, etc., just reinforces the city’s plan to make my neighborhood one that will no longer be named “Bronzeville.”
