I’d like to see a reboot of 'The Right Stuff” with Glenn Close, Helen Mirren, Dame Judi Dench and, introducing Meryl Streep as Stick. Maybe with the once-typecast Jennifer Lawrence in a cameo (half the working budget) as a precious child, staring up into the desert skies in open-mouthed wonder? Or maybe add a dog. Strike that. They had a dog. Make the dog a lizard? How about a cat. Uh, gender pandering. OK so the cat isn’t a cat, it’s a, get this, lizard?? I don’t get it. It’s a space picture maybe make it an alien? An alien clone cat lizard? OK OK. It’s not that kind of space picture. What kind of picture is it? Hope, inspiration, aspirational. Hey, that Mirren, she really puts the- ahem! Hey how ‘bout that J-Law kid? Huh?? Yeah? So can we demo focus the alien laser clone- what’s that, oh yeah right, lizard.
