The early-twentieth-century Irish Republican Army (IRA),
Is it possible terrorism actually works?

No such animal. The 'early IRA' was the IRB/Sinn Fein, Irish Republican Brotherhood (disbanded by De Valera) and Ourselves Alone, a then shadowy-group with fund-raising operations in Australia and America, ties to Germany (purportedly the creation of the first submarine) and a history pointing back towards the (still current) G.A.A. Gaelic Athletic league, primarily for Hurling and Gaelic Football.
The coalition’s original aim of an Irish Free State in the 19th century was Idaho.
The IRA of the Troubles is connected to the IRB through the person of Berny Devlin, herself only a young girl thrown into the middle of it.
