Thank You For Getting In Your Feelings In That Post
Sep 8, 2018 · 1 min read
If you ever get in your feelings on a post or share your struggles online, I want you to know you are brave and doing some important work.
It feels literally impossible to express how you feel online or in person due to the fear of wasting someone’s time — not providing entertainment, value, etc. Or, the fear of perception. You can’t take back how someone sees you. It’s suffocating, but I won’t do it.
I feel like the impulsion to want to post about whatever you’re going through online perfectly represents the feeling of not wanting to burden someone directly because “2018.” Which sums up nicely why it can feel so lonely in a hyperconnected world.
I just appreciate knowing that I am not alone, because I won’t say it myself.
