Project 365: Day 210 — Sanity

I find myself thanking my stars far too often, for having been blessed with some of the most wonderful people as close friends.

My ex-colleague who’s like an older brother to me often seems like the sanest person to dispense advice. Not the unwanted kind, just the kind that counts when I’m in need of reassurance. It may not make sense at first, but it eventually turns out to be the missing piece in the puzzle.

My best friend is someone I pride on being one of the most intuitive people I know. I love how there is so much honesty and a fierce protectiveness when it comes to each other. She is my only family outside of kin, the only other person I have and can co-exist with in a domestic space. We truly are invincible because when it comes to us, it’s us versus the rest of the world. And I’m fairly certain I’ve never had that with anyone else. Unlikely that I’ll meet someone like that too.

Life gives you lemons but it also gives you people who make you realize that sour is as essential as sweet.

I’m very grateful for having met a few such people who make companionship feel worth it. Not bad for a people-averse person. A nudge, a push, a hug or a kiss is just enough. I get by with a little help from my friends.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
