Two interactions with a spacecraft: one engineered and one designed

Since the advent of computation, modern machines around us have become increasingly complex. Interacting with digital and interlaced technology can be challenging because humans did not evolve to use such complex tools but rather simple, tangible objects in our immediate environment.

Interaction design is a discipline which at its core is concerned with understanding human behavior and how people engage with technology and systems. After all, technology should behave in respect to humans and not vice versa. Interaction designers create the conversations people have with digital products and interactive processes, and these interactions should be as considerate, disciplined and empathic as humans. Well crafted interactions make a product or service easily understood, functionally aesthetic and can lead to delightful experiences between people and technology as well as between humans.
