Oregon holdouts turn themselves in
A group of four armed men who had occupied a wildlife refuge in Oregon for 41 days turned themselves in on Thursday. The first three protestors turned themselves in at around 9:40 a.m. , but the last protestor turned himself in at 11:00 after previously sounding suicidal on the phone call with authorities. The FBI confirmed that all four men were in custody and no shots were fired.
Rubio cracks tooth on candy bar
Marco Rubio cracked his tooth Wednesday night on a flight to Washington, D.C. He bit into a frozen Twix candy bar, causing him to crack one of his molars. Rubio said that he got the tooth fixed at the dentist on Thursday.
Iowa zoo must give up endangered species
An Iowa judge has ordered that a local zoo give up its endangered tigers and lemurs. The ruling also prevents Cricket Hollow Zoo from brining in any other endangered animals until they can prove that they have the ability to properly care for the animals. Animals rights activists hope that this ruling will encourage others zoos to give up their endangered species living in unsanitary living conditions.
