Review: Spider-Man: Homecoming

Spider-Man: Homecoming probably won’t win any Oscars or end up at the top of most critics list. Which is a pity, because while it is lacks a political subtext or redefining genres, what makes Spider-Man: Homecoming a recommended movie from me is just how well crafted it is.

It’s not only very well cast, with Tom Holland and Michael Keaton particularly standing out, but it’s so very well written. It goes beyond just solid structure, characters being consistent or lack of deus ex machina. It’s also inventive and witty and a constant delight.

It isn’t going to change your world, but it is a very solid piece of entertainment.
