Is there any value in people who cannot write JavaScript?
Mandy Michael

We have devalued CSS and HTML because over time we have created tools and frameworks that take a lot of the pain away, that do a lot of the work for us. The falling cost of computers and telecoms will have had an effect as it expanded the supply of people who could do it.

And this is always happening with software. It’s what we do for a living — improving processes, so why wouldn’t we also consider software development as a process that is always ripe for improvement?
