Thanks for the great post. Though I agree that private investment is critical to bringing cleantech innovations to market, I think the jury is out as to whether Seed/Angel investment by non-institutional funds is the right vehicle. With the exception of energy software/data companies, in my opinion the levels of capital and time required to get to market/create a sustainable business will dilute angel investors significantly. I’d be interested in your thoughts on how angels can play in cleantech with reasonable dilution rates and holding periods.
