Nice work on the new features
@Medium I want to be able to do this:
Take something from here:
Self-driving cars are going to change the world — not many folks will disagree. It’s beginning to feel like our space…medium.com
And link it to here (and vice versa)
Basically bridging between a quote on each page, like this artifact/strand:

Twined with this:

But I don’t want to have to output to Twitter these two as individual items, or as two individual items in a ‘short’ stream here on Medium.com. I want them to exist together harmoniously in some kind of “third space” where linked elements can live harmoniously together.
Also, do you know your little send-to-twitter function doesn’t show up unless your quoted text only exists in one paragraph? If it spans across two different paragraphs—forget it. I assume this is linked to how your side/margin commenting works on a paragraph-level.

And I want to be able to have a piece be a “response to” another piece after it’s already been written—not only as a choice I have to make before writing.
Going back to the “third space” idea—layers? Information overlays. Twines. Turn on/off user friend pathways.
