Why do people settle for the love they believe they deserve, even if it falls short of what they truly deserve? Is it due to fear of loneliness? Societal conditioning/pressure? Low self esteem?

The reasons can be manifold for it is a question that goes deep into our psychology but perhaps the most profound insight can be found in the correlation experts say exists between our sense of self-worth and the "love" we sometimes bring ourselves to accept/endure.
