I agree that single people aren’t broken. Sometimes they get too connected with their singledom so as to not be open and available when a connection does present itself. I think it is akin to the “no longer available” vibe when you are (for most normal people) in a relationship. But generally it’s always better to be alone and happy than in a relationship which doesn’t add to that base state of happiness.
As for hookup culture, I’m a vocal advocate for delaying the physical. Let the brain chemistry have time to find the friendship and connections needed to handle all the hormones associated with physical intimacy.
