Don’t worry about pleasing them all

You talk about compromise like it’s a choice. We often can’t turn away those people who we disagree with. There is nothing to do but defend your ideas and try not to be too critical of the other person. You say that it’s fine if somebody wants to raise there kids eg. not to believe in global warming. But even something innocuous like that could develop into a deep misunderstanding later in life. It’s the same for teaching evolution in schools

I liked what you said about belief systems, but we should all recognize our own bias and preconceptions. There is no sense in an argument if you don’t recognize the true contention.
