I have a dumbphone, and my parents are getting me a smartphone for a graduation present next week. They started offering to get me an upgrade two years ago, but I held out, partially because I worried about breaking/losing it, partially because I don’t want temptation to fiddle with my phone when I should be paying attention to something else, and partially because I’m stubborn. But I’m really looking forward to having a decent camera, being able to look up directions on the go and being able to group text. But I have no comment on the work/life balance thing because I haven’t had a full time professional job yet.
