Until the Robot Cars Arrive, Here Is How Much You’re Paying Per Year of Car Ownership
Nicole Dieker

My goal has been to make it to age 30 without buying a car (I’m 22) so maybe I can hold out with Nicole until self-driving cars are ubiquitous. I like living in cities, and I don’t like driving, especially city driving. I spend about $40 per month on public transportation and I’ve only just started using Uber occasionally. It’s good to know that even if I spend $100-$200 on Uber in a particularly busy month I still come out ahead compared to car ownership.
