A Sweet Nothing for a Melancholic

(Something Melete Whispered)

Forget, for today, for now,
Life on the edge of this abyss,
Look out across a gentle embrace
Of great terrors and petty pleasures.

Forget, for today, for now,
Your hunt for monsters of the deep,
Look upon a sea moonstruck
By the wind, sky, and stars.

Lay your hand against my heart,
Feel the beating of the waves of a sea
Lost in desire —
 waiting for the sun.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
