Restaurants we all love them, the food especially. But what about seafood, very tasty right? But not so many people are fans of seafood. So for all you seafood lovers let’s review the well-known seafood restaurant Red Lobster. Referring to the one located in Waterford Township Michigan.
Red Lobster, a seafood restaurant where you get the best lobster, shrimp, and other yummy things they serve such as their famous cheddar biscuits.

Employees set this fresh bread out for you for free a couple moments after being seated. The atmosphere sets the mood of being very fancy. You walk into this restaurant, seafood and fresh bread filling the air, and a tank to see their pleasurable lobster. All types of glasses being rustled together, along with silverware, and other side conversations from customers all around the place. The bar being visible as soon as you walk in all while you decide of what sea creatures you will soon order.
Now what are some things that make a restaurant great. Customer service, food quality, atmosphere, all simple things a restaurant is supposed to have. Reviewing a restaurant like Red Lobster you wouldn’t come here if you disliked seafood, right? You came to this restaurant specifically for the seafood. Before you decided to come to Red Lobster could you have viewed other similar places to eat at such as Joe’s Crab Shack? Sure you could which brings me to my next topic of evaluation.
Red Lobster compared and contrasted to Joe’s Crab Shack What’s the same, what’s different? Both restaurants are very good restaurants to dine in at, but at the same time they are very different. Red Lobster has options from lobster, crab, shrimp, pasta, steak, and more. It has a very diverse menu but Joe’s Crab Shack’s menu sticks more to the different varieties of crab and shrimp. When you think of Joe’s Crab Shack their atmosphere is more so a family place where as Red Lobster is a type of place you might want to take someone on a romantic evening. Joe’s Crab Shack has great seafood and so does Red Lobster, but it’s all about what you’re specifically looking for.
If you been to both of these restaurants, with one being the lowest and five being the highest rate, overall what would be the result? Both of these places have delicious food with great service and menus that differentiate in multiple ways. Do these restaurants meet your expectations or the quality of food you may be craving, what would you choose? Red Lobster being fancy, a bit expensive but great quality food as expected. Or Joe’s Crab Shack a family, fun atmosphere where you can choose endlessly from different types of crab or other seafood good eats.
I have been to both of these restaurants so now I can give you an evaluation of how everything went with both of my experiences. I went to Red Lobster and Joe’s Crab Shack both to celebrate my birthday. I was craving seafood both of these years so when I went to Red Lobster I had a very fun evening. Everything was elegant I dressed nice and enjoyed my food while interacting in conversation waiting on my order. When we were seated everything was very quick and the service was on point. I always sit at booths when dinning out so I was happy I got to sit where I wanted. I ordered a Caesar salad with bacon potato and cheese soup and an entrée of shrimp linguini. The salad was fresh and since I loved their Caesar dressing so much I ordered extra. The soup was thick and cheesy just how I liked it all while dipping my buttery cheddar biscuits with it. Everything was perfect as I continued to wait for my entrée. When my pasta arrived I was just about full already. I was stuffed with strawberry lemonade and my previous food, but I still continued to eat because everything was just so appetizing. Our waitress made sure to check on us frequently to make sure everything was going well, and even the manager came out to see how everything was going also. Which was very kind customer service. After I finished my food alongside my company, we asked for the bill and everything was given to us smoothly. While we asked for the bill my mother let our waitress know that we were celebrating my birthday. Quickly after that they sung happy birthday to me and gave me a free brownie and ice cream with caramel drizzled on top. I enjoyed myself and I had no concerns or complaints about my visit, everyone was kind and doing their job as expected.
Another year I celebrated my birthday at Joe’s Crab Shack. When I first arrived it was a bit of a wait to get in, because everyone seemed to be craving Joe’s. When we all were seated it took a while to get our waiter to come take care of our table. So as we waited we just made conversation to patiently pass time. Overall that was my only issue dealing with Joe’s. After that everyone ordered and we received our food just as we wanted with nothing being cooked wrong. Plus, our waitress did apologize for such a long wait. I ordered king crab simply because that's where all the deliciousness comes from.
They call it king crab because this crab carries the most meat. Everybody followed my order simply because this crab was GOOD! Especially after dipping big chunks of king crab into warm buttery sauce. Soon after we got done stuffing our faces we got the bill and I this time was very excited to let the waiter know we were celebrating my birthday. They handed me a cowgirl hat and a horse head on a stick. They sang happy birthday and I had to run around my whole area galloping yelling “it’s my birthday, it’s my birthday”. So that was for sure my favorite part.
In conclusion both restaurants place’s have appealing food. So once again you have your customer service, food quality, and atmosphere. It’s all about where you want to be in your time of dinning out. Although for most paying customer’s price is always the deal breaker on where to go. Great food that fills you up at a decent price? Why not! But everyone knows seafood is not cheap, but Joe’s Crab Shack is cheaper than Red lobster. For you frugal customers out there Red Lobster does have a part in their menu to choose a four course feast for only $16 dollars. It’s really all a win — win situation. Now back to the main topic I personally rate Red Lobster at a 5. I love everything about their food never complained at that specific location. My taste buds appreciate Red Lobster a lot, so whether you’re a cheap or non-caring spender I strongly believe Red Lobster overall still is a great restaurant for many celebrating or relaxing occasions for all customers.
