6 Essential tips to write inspired Headlines right away

I grew up with without internet, in fact I had my own internet access in my parents apartment at the age of 14, but now I can say that it fully assimilated me. I believe that internet is part of many people’s lives but how you should get noticed in this big marvelous bubble of buzz?

Well one thing which I know for sure is that internet is very similar to a really busy parking lot with high interest in a city center. You must be present, and aware of everybody else, pedestrians with shopping bags, stray dogs and other drivers which try to steal your free parking lot.

Internet follows the same concept but the true is that you can really easy get disconnected from the people surrounding you.You came to this article because you probably felt that your headlines are a bit dull or you suspect that they are affecting your visits on the site or blog, and you weren’t wrong. This is what we will discuss today (partially) but also a number of other things that you must be aware of. Here’s the first advice:

1.Do you even take your time?

Here is the deal, you can write any article and it can be as amazing as possible but if your time spent investing in the quality of the headline is under 30 minutes then more likely it is affecting you. Read your article trough, check google trends, build search quarries into google and search for related stuff to your article. Spend your time on that, sloppy work will not get you anywhere.

2. Your headlines stay the same over time?

If you like writing especially applicable for news reporters, then you may find out the information is always changing, people are changing, there for your articles should adapt to that. I am not talking that you should change your article entirely but just adapt them better to your readers and their needs. This also gives you the chance to re-feature that article after 2–3 months if it is applicable. It will seem fresh and you may find some new audience just by changing the headline a little.

3.”Would this make me read it?”

Ask this to yourself when you setting the title and after you finishing writing the article. Remember to put away your personal insight and perspective when you do that, try to ask yourself this question from the perspective of a group or your personas. Like this you may have a better vision of what it attracts them.

4.Use Google Adwords.

Find out what keywords are specific for your target group, see the trends and make decisions at the word level. With Adwords you can almost calculate at the word level if the headline should be in different forms and why, also how many users would that bring to you by SEO.

In this category enters Google Trends but this is a different story, with Trends you can see what people are crazy about in the last 24 hours and take advantage of that. From experience I found out that in general when you see already a topic featured in Trends is a bit late to start writing your article because the users are already in bulk at the big publications (not applicable for your loyal users).

5.Use Obscure Numbers

Hey I am not the Guru here but for some particular reason people are very attracted to unusual numbering like 17 and 46, totally random numbers. It may be that we have a big experience with print and magazines already in the readers community and they are using numbering from 1 to 5, stuff which is boring. So be un-boring if you want to go crazy put 1 000 000 in 6 days in your headline and see the users coming.

6.Be focused

Make content which is at your concept core for your most passionate readers but try new things in the meantime, that’s only for you if you want to expand your readers base. Make notes, what headlines that you wrote attracted people and then study that headlines. Do you see any patterns? Good note them, build your own formula of writing headlines for your readers.

And that’s a really useful tool to have, because with the time you will see what you must repair or add to the headline in the time in which you are writing the article. That saves you time a lot of time especially if you spend time to set up headlines.

Here are the 6 tips, use them wisely and don’t forget to cut me a share next time when you will get amazing visits numbers on your blog or website. Until next time I will let you practice with these ones.
