Are you sure you are make the correct reference

a. A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, a capitalist economy subject to stringent governmental controls, violent suppression of the opposition, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.

If so where is this Fascism you are talking about. If you are talking about the U.S.A. we are a long way from Fascism. There is a resurgent Nationalism and increasing rejection of Globalism but we don’t have a Dictator or violent suppression of the opposition.

This “Virtue means: what I want for one I want for all.” only if what you want is good, it certainly is not virtue to want everyone to suffer and be deprived.

I know that you are trying to encourage that which is good and discourage evil and that is virtue but your writing is full of misguidance.

I think you are responding to the revelation of the Xenophobia and Racism and Bigotry uncovered by this past election. I think you also fear the rise of Nationalism.

You stereotype American like “Americans have long misunderstood virtue.” This is bigotry and insulting. It is an unfair criticism of Millions of Americans. It might be you who misunderstands Virtue. Are you familiar with the 7 Cardinal Virtues? Many Americans use them as a guide to their behavior. They are chastity, temperance, charity, diligence, patience, kindness, and humility.

If anything is self evident then I would count these virtues right up there with the bill of rights and the 7 deadly sins.

If I have come down too hard on you, I am sorry. I don’t think you are evil or even misguided. I just think this story of yours was off the mark. Try again, I believe you will do better and have written better.

Try this subject, it is a good thing that the Xenophobia, Racism, Misogyny and Bigotry has been uncovered by this past election has been brought to light. Those who have been emboldened will now wither in the light of day. Only the Truth can stand before the light.

Another subject and this one is mine to elaborate, I oppose Immigration for purposes of residency but not because I am Xenophobic or Racist or fear Terrorist but because I do believe in America First and an America for Americans. I don’t believe that Nationalism is evil. I do believe in Charity and think we should accept Refugees and Asylum Seekers but Refugees need to be housed in Camps and are expect to return to their home countries along with their children. Asylum Seekers need to be evaluated carefully and we should only accept those persecuted by their government not people fleeing because of lawlessness or lack of economic or educational opportunity.
