Carefully consider the cost of cutting Carbon since Climate Central says “Some research has indicated that the melt of these glaciers is unstoppable, though their disappearance won’t necessarily happen overnight” They are saying that more than 10 feet of sea rise is already baked in. Rolling carbon emissions back to pre 1990 levels will not save us even if you could wave a magic wand and cut the carbon today.

We should grab the low hanging fruit but paying dearly to cut carbon would be unwise, it would be pissing in the wind or tilting at windmills.

If we are going to tax and spend billions or trillions of the peoples money then we should spend it on sea walls and to buy out and relocate people to higher ground. We are already moving people out of low lying coastal areas here in Louisiana all while spending millions to save wetlands that will be inundated by the sea in a few decades regardless of the attempts to save them.

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
