Why Capitalism is Just Shitbag Science
Holly Wood, PhD 🌹

Wow, again. You see the results of evils capitalism and call them to our attention. Capitalism is only as evil as its richest executioners. More than 2000 years ago this was obvious ”It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” I don’t know if the evil get rich or the rich turn evil. Mark was an attempt at using the bully pulpit to get the rich to be less evil.

The rich are also too well off to care about making things better. If the rich used more of their wealth to make the world better then they could live in a better world. They have so much wealth they could really make a big difference. They have so much wealth they don’t need to worry about the parts of the world that suck, even if it is blocks away.

We cannot hold them accountable so the best we can do is send them messages like Mark.

You can tear down the existing power structure and it will just be replaced with another evil power structure but maybe just maybe with care you can tinker around the edges for some marginal improvements. Maybe we can weasel another billion or two out of Gates or Buffett.

Maybe we could get the Elites to implement UBI.

Maybe some rich group would open some Charity Hospitals.

Maybe more Charity Dentists, so the poor can get their teeth fixed instead of getting them pull out.

Capitalism is not the problem. The problem is the rich not fulfilling their social obligations. We give them the freedom to do what they want with their riches and they seem to make bad choices.

Not all of them. While Elon does not feed the poor (not directly but maybe a little with the trickle down) he is creating a bunch of middle class jobs and trying to make the world (solar system/humanity)better. Hey, he is not nearly as rich as Gates and Buffett.

The rich do contribute much to charity but still not enough. Did anyone ever drop off the Fortune 100 list because of their contributions to charity.

Gates should give enough away to drop down to say the 50th spot. I bet that would get him on the cover of a lot of magazines, make a lot of peoples lives better and he would still be indescribably rich.
