Yes, the pull economy is better than the push. Better the carrot than the stick. Favorable incentive is way better than threat of punishment.
Sadly change is not happening fast enough. Not enough pull to create renewable energy and low emission vehicles. Subsidies have helped but the rate of change is still too slow.
It is going to get so bad the stick will come out. They will tax carbon even more. If you can’t afford solar panels and an electric car you will hardly be able to afford to drive. Air conditioning will be expensive and so will heating fuel. I wonder if they will impose rationing?
