I’m a stats guy, always have been and always will be.

However, it’s clear for the NBA that +/- doesn’t cut it, box scores don’t tell the full story, and advanced stats with negative numbers don’t make a lot of sense and are hard to interpret.

So, I made my own, and I’m pretty damn proud of it. I’ve worked on the backend and produced a list of impact scores for all NBA players taking all stats across the box score into account at various weights.

I know, it’s early in the season, but stats evolve over time and it’s good to see where players are at in the moment. Have a look at my Top 100:
