THE ORDEAL OF EVERY “SAMWELL TARLY”
You might have seen a lot of movies in the past, but one cannot help but fall in love with the series Game Of Thrones. It embodies every facet of human life with brutal, intelligent and cunning characters. Despite the failure of the last season to live up to expectations, it has, therefore, not taken away the drama and sensation the other seasons brought to everyone.
Many characters were impressive, but one character that stands out is Samwell Tarly, first of his name, shaker of Tables, shrinker of all phalluses, slayer of zombies, and protector of the realm.
In the early stages, he was considered a weakly and dum. He left home to join the. Men of the Night’s watch to prove a point to his Dad, and even in there, he was touted as a failure by everyone except his friend Jon Snow who stood in for him .
Sam Tarly, in the plot, was, to a large extent, one of the most underrated characters in the movie, yet he incessantly proved how pivotal he was to the whole movie’s story. He was not a good fighter and by no means a knight of good standing . This distinction in his character is what sets him apart from the others.
In the heathen environment where the State of nature was highly predominant, Sam Tarly was distinct with care. Men exerting their libido on the innocence of little girls was the order, yet he set himself apart. Greed had possessed a lot of souls, but O thou Samwell Tarly, he decided to read . To expand his mental faculties.
This little habit of his, which he stuck to through thick and thin, brought liberation to the people under the watch of knights that have lived and died alike. He eventually became the first to slay a nightwalker, to the disbelief of the others.
Knowledge was his power. The mind was his weapon.
He first discovered the dragon glass, the only weapon to kill the night walkers. His interpretation of deeds by virtue of his knowledge of history was very monumental in predicting events and finding lasting solutions.
All these feats came through by engaging in reading.
In every group, there’s a Samwell Tarly that doesn’t generally conform or match up to the standards of everyone in the group. They do what helps, and it distinguishes them. Those people end up the influential ones because they chose a path that wasn’t peer pressured but innate and worked keenly towards their passion .
Whatever your course is right now, it might not make sense to others around you, but if you keep at it, you’ll slay the night walker that everybody’s eye is fixed on.
