Building Relationships
In my industry, there are many “fly by night” sales representatives. Merchants don’t know who to trust because they get constantly bombarded by calls, emails, flyers, and advertisements all hailing company XYZ as the latest and greatest processor.
I’ve learned to embrace this “white noise” in my industry, because it is through this mediocrity that the excellence of my service and product shines. People tell me all the time “man, I’m thankful that you pick up the phone when I call” or, “thanks for taking care of that right away”, etc and the list goes on.
What separates the winners from the losers is how the winners perform under pressure. How I back up my 10X claims on a daily basis proves to my clients that I’m to be trusted, dependable and loyal. Hopefully, my “you first” attitude is mirrored by my team.
Today I met a lady who was in 3 different agreements, and extremely frustrated at companies in my industry. She had horrible experiences with people who took advantage of her, got paid, never to be heard from again. After an hour with her, cancelling out her other three agreements, she became a new client; yet, even if she didn’t join my team, I would have helped her anyway.
I’m not after profits and revenue. I’m after building relationships with business owners, solving their problems, and making their life EASIER. I believe if I can solve a million problems, I’ll get a million dollars.
Imagine how many children I could provide with clean water if I had a million dollars.
