I’m sure people will forgive me for making the obvious comparisons to everything from Love, Sex, and Robots to Altered Carbon with this movie. We are living in such a post-Blade Runner world that this type of movie really shouldn’t exist anymore. The movie itself isn’t terrible, Guy Pearce plays a decent enough Noire detective type and Matilda Anna Ingrid Lutz (someone get this woman a stage name) plays a decent enough damsel/killer robot type. But that’s all this movie boils down to at the end of the day.

Zone 414 has a lot of hints of other better movies. But in the end, it was like someone took a back lot from Demolition Man and decided they needed to make a movie there again. This movie is far too long to do so many things so quickly and far too short to explain them. This movie tries to cram the plot of a season of a better-plotted television show only to not even pull off the same effect of a longer better movie. This…
