I wasn’t really expecting too much from 65. I’d seen the trailer and from that I kind of expected the story to have been already told. But I was interested in the details of the story and how it ended. 65 tells the story of Mills (played by Adam Driver) who while piloting a spaceship crash lands on Earth 65 million years ago. What the trailer doesn’t tell you is that it isn’t time travel but actually, the movie takes place 65 million years ago making Mills and all the humans in this movie, aliens. While there is some scientific evidence for there being a possibility of an alien species existing that are exactly the way we are. The problem here is that the movie makers did practically nothing to distinguish them from us in any way. No new religions, no significantly different language, and no different customs, we are just told they aren’t Earthlings, and we are told this because that’s the only way we would think they were alien.

The problems don’t stop there however, Koa (played by Ariana Greenblatt) is a passenger…
