Abstract: Technology is remaking urbanism and enabling citizens, business, government and institutions to have access to a wide range of services, relationships and tools. Smart applications help develop a sharing economy and create more efficient design practices and new ways to live, work and play. This article explores whether or not these outcomes are aligned with citizens’ present needs and future interests.
