Say What You Mean, Mean What You Say.

It’s late. I’ve said I would post every day. I don’t want to punk out. I so often punk out, and then dress it up as “self care,” or “moderation.” Yeah, yeah. Not tonight.

Tonight I put on my big girl pants and follow through. Tonight, come hell or high water, I do what I said I would do. Tonight, no excuses. I’m tired, but I can do this for one night.

It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be long. It just has to be true.

And the truth is, it feels good to build the muscle of integrity. It feels good to actually mean what I say. It feels even better when I follow through so often and reliably, that common knowledge is ‘If Tina says it, you can take that right to the bank.’

This currency is a coin with two sides. Not only is it important to mean what I say, it’s important to not say what I don’t mean. Those are two different things leading to the same destination. Words tend to slip like little fish into the river of my conversations; so I have to be very careful. Pay attention. Which is my spiritual practice anyway.

So once again, I am right where I belong.

See? That wasn’t so hard.
